We hope the year has started well for everyone, we’re almost halfway through and finally the British weather seems to be picking up ready for the summer sea symposiums.
The new rotomoulded 17ft ‘Scorpio’ is now in full production so like little excited children we snuck off with the first one foam bulkheaded and took it straight to the flat water outside for a quick paddle.
Our initial impressions are that it’s really responsive for a long expedition ready sea kayak and easy to paddle similar to the Cetus of which the design has been loosely based on.
The same Scorpio is heading down to Mark Rainsley’s ‘South West Sea Kayaking’ book launch this weekend (12-13th April) down at AS Watersports in Exeter, U.K so hopefully some eager sea kayakers will manage to get there hands on it and put it through its paces.
We’ll let you know how it gets on after that.
