{"id":784,"date":"2011-11-03T05:56:26","date_gmt":"2011-11-03T05:56:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phpaddlers.com\/?p=1615"},"modified":"2011-11-03T05:56:26","modified_gmt":"2011-11-03T05:56:26","slug":"lumpy-waters-play-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phseakayaks.com\/blog\/lumpy-waters-play-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Lumpy Waters Play Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2011 <a title=\"Lumpy Waters\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lumpywaters.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lumpy Waters Kayak Symposium<\/a> was over for another year. Organized by <a title=\"Alder Creek\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aldercreek.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alder Creek Kayak and Canoe<\/a> it was once again an excellent event with great comaraderie, paddling and learning.  On the first day there was an incident that involved some bad decision-making by yours truly (with others) that thankfully and luckily did not result in loss of life (a full account of this incident can be found on <a title=\"Red Alder Ranch blog\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.redalderranch.com\/?p=89\" target=\"_blank\">Mark Whittaker&#8217;s blog<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Once again, after three days of teaching classes some of the coaches (including PH paddlers Chris Lockyer, Matt Nelson and Sean Morley) took the opportunity to cut loose and go play.
