Will Copestake
Will is a BCU 5* (Advanced Sea Leader) sea kayak guide and director of Kayak Summer Isles in northern Scotland.
Born and raised in Ullapool, Will loves sharing his knowledge of the local landscape, flora and fauna through his company Kayak Summer Isles. He has been guiding and leading adventures by sea kayak and on foot in Scotland and Chilean Patagonia since 2012.
Sea Kayaking expeditions have taken him all over the world, starting with a solo circumnavigation of Scotland in 2013 (followed by a continual winter round of Munro mountains) for which he was awarded both Scottish and UK adventurer of the year (2015).
Since then Will has circumnavigated Nordkapp in Norway as well as paddling in Lofoten and covered over 1400km of Patagonian fjords through a number of remote self-supported expeditions. In Patagonia he's gained a reputation for combining kayaking with long and arduous portages to reach seldom travelled and remote glacial lakes and fjords.
As a paddler and photographer, Will is proudly supported as a sponsored paddler with Werner Paddles, Kokatat, Hilleberg and Rab equipment as he leads and paddles expeditions around the world.
